The unelected Senate Parliamentarian has once again proven that the D.C. swamp is not only alive—it’s actively working against the will of the American people. In a brazen display of Deep State obstruction, Senate Parliamentarian Elizabeth MacDonough—a figure appointed by radical Democrat Harry Reid and a former advisor to Al Gore’s failed 2000 presidential campaign—has gutted key provisions from President Donald J. Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill” (OBBB), a cornerstone of his America First legislative agenda.

And what has Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD) done in response? Absolutely nothing. Worse—he’s publicly refused to overrule her. That leaves one man standing between the American people and total betrayal: Vice President J.D. Vance.

The Swamp’s Fingerprints Are All Over This

Let’s be perfectly clear—Elizabeth MacDonough is not elected. She holds zero accountability to the people of this country. Yet somehow, she wields unchecked authority to kill major policy reforms that President Trump ran on—and that tens of millions of Americans voted for.

Her latest rulings stripped away:

*A ban on taxpayer-funded abortions

*Elimination of benefits for illegal immigrants

*A prohibition on sex-change procedures for minors funded by federal programs like Medicaid and CHIP.

*The end of “silver loading” under Obamacare, which has driven up health insurance costs and lined the pockets of insurance companies.

*Senate parliamentarian has now also stripped out 5 second amendment tax provisions in GOP’s reconciliation bill, per Senate Budget Dems!

These provisions are not fringe ideas—they are the will of the voters. MacDonough’s decision to toss them out under the opaque and easily manipulated “Byrd Rule” amounts to little more than procedural sabotage, driven by ideology, not impartiality.

Republicans Speak Out—But Where Is the Action?

The outrage from Republican lawmakers has been fierce and justified:

> Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene called out the absurdity:“We are trying to undo the America LAST insanity from the Democrats… but the UN-ELECTED Senate Parliamentarian used the Byrd Rule…”

> Rep. Dan Crenshaw rightly demanded she be fired immediately, citing multiple failures and political bias.“She has failed to apply the rules of reconciliation accurately… Today was the final red line for me.”

> Sen. Tommy Tuberville hit the nail on the head:“This is a perfect example of why Americans hate THE SWAMP… Her job is not to push a woke agenda.”

> Rep. Greg Steube urged Vice President J.D. Vance to “overrule the Parliamentarian and let the will of the people… determine the future of this country.”

Even Sen. Roger Marshall has introduced a resolution to term-limit the Senate Parliamentarian, recognizing that no unelected bureaucrat should wield this much power for this long.Yet despite this overwhelming support to rein in MacDonough’s overreach, Majority Leader Thune refuses to act. He has the authority to fire her—just like Senate Majority Leader Trent Lott did in 2001—but he won’t. According to Thune, overruling her would “not be a good option for getting a bill done.”

Translation: political cowardice.

Enter JD Vance: The Last Line of Defense

Fortunately, the Founders gave us a backup plan: the Vice President, as President of the Senate, can legally and constitutionally overrule the Parliamentarian. Vice President J.D. Vance has the opportunity—and the responsibility—to do exactly that.This is not about breaking rules. It’s about defending the integrity of the legislative process, and more importantly, the will of the American people. We cannot allow unelected bureaucrats, no matter how long they’ve held their post, to rewrite the laws of the land from behind closed doors.This is a moment of truth.
